EIDX Opening Session   

Monday, November 12, 2001
Noon – 1:45 PM
 Scottsdale, AZ

 1.       Call To Order

Dave Weyer called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM.  A motion was made and seconded to accept the Minutes from the previous conference.  Mr. Weyer addressed the general attendance and read the anti-trust disclaimer.  He welcomed the 1st time attendees, the RosettaNet User Groups, and the members of EDIFICE.  He introduced the Program Coordinators, Kim Albera and Tammy Borgens and thanked the EIDX Board of Directors for the Year 2001.  Plaques will be given to the outgoing Board on Wednesday afternoon prior to the start of the ‘theme’. 

2.       New EIDX Governing Board for the Year 2002

Mr. Weyer announced the new Board for the Year 2002.  The two members elected to serve a two-year term on the BOD for the Years 2002 and 2003 were Helen Shrader and Dave Weyer.  They join Bill French, Bob Sartor, and Chuck Caveney.  Two Members at Large will be appointed to join the five elected officials.   

3.       Host & Keynote Address

Mr. Weyer thanked Cyclone Commerce for hosting and introduced the conference hostess, Debi Henry.  Debi announced the social events taking place during the week – the Monday Newcomers Networking Social, the hosted lunch Tuesday afternoon, and the Western BBQ taking place Tuesday evening.  She introduced David Bennett of Cyclone Commerce, who made the keynote presentation. 

4.          Subcommittee Chairs

Each of the acting Chairs addressed the group to talk about their respective subcommittees.  Roger Trout presented for Promotion & Education.  Linda Zavecz presented for Guidelines & Standards.  Stephenie Cooper presented for Business Process and Technology Subcommittees.  Chuck Caveney presented for the RosettaNet User Groups.  Each explained the function of their committee and the sessions that were planned for the rest of the week.   

5.       5K Run, Walk or Crawl

Dave Weyer asked Bob Kokko to tell the group about the 5K Event taking place Wednesday at 6:30 AM.  Bob encouraged people to join the group and explained where they would meet and the route they run/walk.   

6.          Closing and Adjournment

In closing, Dave Weyer announced that the next conference would be held jointly with OAG the last week of January 2002, probably in the Silicon Valley.  He then presented Debi Henry of Cyclone Commerce with an EIDX plaque in appreciation for hosting.  The meeting adjourned at 1:45 PM.
